The app idea "Laga tillsammans"
A project that was carried out during the course Product Development within Media Technology with the method Design-Build-test. The goal of the course was to do a design assignment for a company. My team of five collaborated with Schysst käk to create a recipe application that makes cooking a fun family activity.

Schysst käk's vision is that food should be easy and fast to make, as well as appreciated by the whole family.
Therefore, we were tasked to create a modern recipe application that is easy, funny, and doesn't have any unnecessary stuff. Inspiration, quick recipes, unexpected functions, and extras are all packed into one super simple and functional solution.
The work began with a research phase where existing recipe services were studied, information about Shysst Käk was obtained from their website and the target group's preferences were investigated. The target group was investigated through a survey that asked questions for instance their relationship to cooking and how they involve their children in the kitchen. After this phase, two different personas were created.
The next phase was to start idea generation, which was done by brainstorming three different concepts All three concepts differed and had different ways of approaching the target group as well as the aim of the original task. The concepts were called "Cook together", "Child fun" and "Which kebab are you?". For these three concepts, we produced Mid-Fi prototypes which we then tested on the target group. After that, we proceed with one concept that was developed into a Hi-Fi prototype.
The final result: Based on feedback and test results the ”Laga tillsammans” (Cook together) concept was chosen. “Laga tillsammans” is a game where users choose a recipe, create a team, and then get assigned different tasks required to finish the dish. It enables the whole family or group of friends to be involved in the cooking. The sub-tasks of the recipe are distributed within the team as the game progresses. When a participant has completed their task, they click on it to get a new task. It is possible to join the game on different devices and the game is adapted for children via the "Kids Chef" mode. It’s a concept that makes cooking a fun activity for the whole family where everyone needs to contribute.
